Jessica
Stitt |
Jessica Stitt,
completed her
Master of Music degree and is currently pursuing her
Doctoral Degree in Collaborative piano at the University of
Maryland where she studies with Rita Sloan. She has recently
spent two summers at the Aspen Music Festival in the
Collaborative Artist Program and has participated in
National Orchestral Institute as a chamber and orchestral
pianist. Jessica also attended the University of Michigan
where she studied piano with Logan Skelton and Douglas
Humphreys and played violin in the Philharmonic Orchestra.
She performed as a soloist with the Syracuse Symphony as a
winner of the SSYO concerto competition. As a graduate
assistant at Maryland, Jessica has been heavily involved
with the Maryland Opera Studio appearing in many
performances including Rossini’s
The
Barber of Seville,
Kirke Mechem’s
The
Newport Rivals,
and Mozart’s
Don
Giovanni.
She
participates in multiple student and professional recitals
and chamber music concerts having performed in the states
and abroad with artists such as Evelyn Elsing and Charlie
Vernon and with groups such as the Annapolis Chamber
Players, Great Noise Ensemble, Inscape, and The United
States Army Field Band Chamber Group. She maintains a
private piano studio, and coaches vocal and instrumental
students at the University of Maryland.
