Welcome To Music with the Angels

The Church of the Holy City hosts musical concerts throughout the year.  The centerpiece of the concert program is Music with the Angels. This concert series honors the seven stained glass Angels of Revelation surrounding the church altar.  Performers include artists who have performed and competed at home and world-wide. Our goal is to enrich the musical life of Washington, DC and help the artists gain recognition of their talents. Music with the Angels is coordinated by Mila Naumova-Roushakes, pianist and pedagogue. She is a graduate of Sofia Music School in Bulgaria, and holds a Master’s in Pedagogy and Performance from George Mason University, Fairfax, VA. She is an active performer in the church and the community.

Music with the Angels is held monthly on the third Saturday of the month (except during summer) at 7:30 P.M.

In addition to the Music with the Angels series, the church sponsors other music concerts as well.  Word of mouth attracts a wide range of musicians to the sanctuary with its great acoustics and beautiful surroundings.  Some examples of past perfprmances include: the Middlebury Choir, Orfeia, Teatro LiticoInstinctive Belief, and the Colart Duo.
